According to a report from Record, Hulk is willing to take a 90 per cent pay cut in order to move to the Premier League with both West Ham and Wolves thought to be interested in signing the Brazilian.

The 34-year-old left Shanghai SIPG on a free transfer last week (The Sun) having spent just over three years with the Chinese club.

Hulk earned a whopping £450,000 per week with Shanghai SIPG according to Salary Sport.

The former Porto and Zenit St Petersburg ace enjoyed a really successful time in China, racking up 76 goals and 54 assists in 145 games (Transfermarkt).

Hulk is still a top class player in spite of his advancing years. And his availability on a free transfer has piqued the interest of West Ham and Wolves according to Record.

The Hammers and the Black Country outfit will undoubtedly be put off by his previously huge wages, however.

Record suggest that Hulk is prepared to take a 90 per cent pay cut in order to play in the Premier League though. So that would bring his wages down to around £45k-a-week – easily affordable for both West Ham and Wolves.

Let’s be honest here, however. Hulk would surely struggle to adapt to the ferocious pace, tempo and intensity of the Premier League at his age.

The Brazil international was a truly great talent in his day. But West Ham and Wolves really should be looking and younger and more dynamic players.

David Moyes has certainly suggested that he is looking to sign young players with high ceilings in the past. And Nuno Espirito Santo is well renowned for buying young stars with huge potential as well.

So it is highly unlikely that Hulk will be plying his trade at either the London Stadium or Molineux post January.
