Chelsea could be prepared to offer Andreas Christensen to West Ham United in the summer according to a report from the Express.

The report states that the Blues haven’t given up on signing Hammers star Declan Rice.

Since Thomas Tuchel took over in place of Frank Lampard at Stamford Bridge, talk of Chelsea signing Rice has gone somewhat cold.

The Express claims that the west London outfit are still very much interested in signing Rice, however.

It is suggested that Chelsea’s priority is to sign a top class striker this summer. So they may not have the cash to sign Rice.

Because of that, the Blues are allegedly prepared to offer West Ham a selection of players in exchange.

One of those names is Andreas Christensen according to the Express.

The Chelsea defender has been in and out of the Blues starting XI this season.

Chelsea star Andreas Christensen a good signing for West Ham?

The 40-capped Denmark international has played 13 Premier League games for the Blues this season.

During those outings, the 25-year-old has averaged 0.7 tackles, 1.4 interceptions and 0.8 blocks per game. He has also won an average of 2.2 aerial duals per game during those appearances (Who Scored).

Christensen can play in a deep-lying central midfield role as well as central defence.

The 25-year-old Chelsea ace would actually be a very useful addition for West Ham.

Let’s make this crystal clear, however. We should not be entertaining the idea of Declan Rice moving to Stamford Bridge as part of any deal that would see Christensen head in the opposite direction.

Dec is vitally important to the Hammers. And whilst Christensen would be a smart addition, at no point should we be considering an offer for Rice from Chelsea that includes the Dane.
