The Hammers are on track to qualify for Europe this season.
If we do end up doing that, it will be imperative that David Moyes bolsters his ranks considerably at the London Stadium.
Eurosport suggests that Moyes is well aware that he needs a deeper squad next season.
It is claimed that the West Ham boss is eyeing a move for Manchester United defender Phil Jones because of this.

The 29-year-old is a versatile player. He can operate at centre-back or right-back.
West Ham should avoid Manchester United man Phil Jones at all costs
The Metro claims that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will ask for around £12 million for the former Blackburn defender this summer.
Jones is far from a top class player, however. The Man United man is very injury prone as well.

West Ham will be desperate to bring Jesse Lingard to East London from Old Trafford on a permanent basis in the summer.
That should be Moyes’s absolute priority.
And whilst the Hammers boss needs to improve upon his strength in depth in the summer, Jones should be one we absolutely avoid.
He won’t come cheap nor will he be on minimal wages.
West Ham could, and should be doing a lot better.
