According to a report from El Gol Digital, Atletico Madrid could replace potentially West Ham bound ace Vitolo with Manchester City star Raheem Sterling in the summer.
Hammers boss David Moyes is expected to be a very busy man in the transfer market this summer and is already thought to have a long list of targets.
The West Ham manager needs to strengthen all over the pitch.
One area where we are fairly well covered, however, is the wide attacking department.
Having said that, if Felipe Anderson and/or Andriy Yarmolenko are moved on this summer, the Hammers may well need to sign another winger.
West Ham linked with Vitolo
Fichajes recently claimed that the Hammers are keen to sign the 31-year-old Atletico Madrid winger.
And now El Gol Digital claims that Atleti are lining up an ambitious swoop for Manchester City star Raheem Sterling as a replacement for the 12-capped Spain international.
West Ham should really be prioritising the additions of a new striker and a central midfield this summer.
Moyes will be desperate to bring Jesse Lingard to the London Stadium on a permanent basis as well.
West Ham really shouldn’t be wasting time trying to sign ageing players like Vitolo.
The Spaniard was a very good player in his day. He’ll be 32 in November, however, and that in itself should serve as a huge red flag for the Hammers.
If Atletico Madrid do sign Raheem Sterling, however, it might just be a sign that the La Liga giants are prepared to let the £8.4 million-rated (Fichajes) winger leave the Spanish capital.
