Alphonse Areola, Nayef Aguerd, Flynn Downes, Gianluca Scamacca, Maxwel Cornet, Thilo Kehrer, Emerson and Lucas Paqueta all joined the senior team whilst talented youngster Patrick Kelly was added to the under-23s.

David Moyes knew this summer would be one of huge change and the Scot certainly hasn’t let us down with the quality of the players he has brought through the doors at the London Stadium.

And in all fairness, there weren’t any exits that upset the fans.

We’re really happy that Harrison Ashby and Craig Dawson weren’t added to that list last night.

Avoiding the same situation in years to come will be key now for Moyes. He needs to supplement his squad every summer of course, but not more than a turnaround of three or four players.

Too much of an overhaul was required this summer because of poor long-term planning.

On the whole, the transfer window was brilliant for West Ham. You can see by the list above that we didn’t lose anyone worth keeping. And hopefully the youngsters perform well whilst out on loan.

The transfer window seemed like it was open for more than a year, considering how many players West Ham were linked with! We’re more than happy with the business that Moyes has done.

Hopefully the new arrivals gel together as soon as possible.
