TeamTalk have claimed that West Ham United and Leeds United are both interested in signing Real Betis left-back Alex Moreno.
And the player himself has admitted that he is aware of the interest in his services, when speaking to Mundo Deportivo.
The Hammers need a new left-back this summer with Aaron Cresswell on the wrong side of 31.
The Liverpool born ace has proven to be far better when operating as a left-sided centre-back this season.
Meanwhile, Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is thought to be prioritising the addition for new left-back before the start of next season (The Mirror).
Alex Moreno would be an exceptional addition for either the Hammers or the Whites.
The 27-year-old Spaniard is a solid defender and has a lot to offer in the final third as well.
Alex Moreno aware of interest amidst West Ham and Leeds links
The Real Betis ace spoke to Mundo Deportivo and suggested that he is aware of the interest in his signature:
“It is true that they have called my agent big clubs but I don’t know anything. I’m focused on finishing La Liga by entering Europe with Betis and I don’t know anything else. My agent has told me to focus on Betis, on my own, on the games that remain. It is a matter of the agents and it is a pride that big clubs notice me.”
Moreno is clearly focused on ending the season well with Betis.
The Spaniard has a release clause worth £34 million inserted into his contract with the La Liga outfit (Estadio Deportivo).
We’re not sure about Leeds but West Ham certainly won’t be paying anything like that for a left-back.
So if Moreno is to move to the London Stadium, Betis will have to drastically lower their demands for the Spaniard.
