ExWHUemployee claims that Rangers and Celtic were interested in signing West Ham ace Robert Snodgrass, when speaking on the West Ham Way podcast last night (Wednesday January 6th).
It seems as though the Gers and the Hoops are set to miss out on the 33-year-old Hammers star, however.
West Bromwich Albion are in advanced talks to sign Snodgrass according to Sky Sports.
Robert Snodgrass joined West Ham from Hull City in January 2017 for around £10 million (Football.London).
The Scot has been a fine servant for West Ham. He enjoyed an incredibly successful campaign from a personal perspective last season.
Snodgrass racked up five goals and five assists in 24 Premier League games.
Rangers and Celtic were allegedly keen on West Ham ace Robert Snodgrass
The 33-year-old would have been an excellent addition for either Steven Gerrard or Neil Lennon at Rangers or Celtic respectively.
ExWHUemployee told the West Ham Way podcast last night that both Scottish giants were interested in signing the former Leeds and Hull City ace:
“Robert Snodgrass is looking likely to leave. He had interest from Rangers and Celtic but I believe that West Brom are now looking to sign him.”
It seems as though West Brom are in the driving seat for Snoddy now.
It would have been interesting to see how he would have got on at either Ibrox or Parkhead.
Rangers and Celtic could have both done with Snodgrass, what with his experience and quality.
It seems as though Steven Gerrard and Neil Lennon will now have to refocus their attention elsewhere, however.
