Potentially devastating double Youssef En-Nesyri blow for West Ham as report claims Liverpool enter race and Sevilla now want £41 million

West Ham have been dealt a potentially devastating double blow with regards to their hopes of signing Youssef En-Nesyri this summer. Estadio Deportivo claims that Liverpool have entered the race for the Moroccan and Sevilla are now demanding a whopping £41 million for his services.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to sign a top class striker this summer.

En-Nesyri is arguably West Ham’s top target this summer.

The Athletic claimed towards the end of January that West Ham made a £27 million bid for the 23-year-old – one that was swiftly rejected by Sevilla.

And as recently as a couple of weeks ago, it was claimed that West Ham have actually already submitted an offer for En-Nesyri ahead of the summer transfer window (Il Milanista).

It was originally thought that Sevilla wanted around €35 million (£30 million) for En-Nesyri this summer (Goal).

Double Youssef En-Nesyri blow for West Ham as Liverpool lurk and price sky rockets

The La Liga side are now demanding €46 million (£41 million) for En-Nesyri according to Estadio Deportivo. And what’s more, they claim that Liverpool are now ‘seduced’ by the idea of signing the Moroccan hitman.

It is highly doubtful that West Ham will be prepared to pay that much for one player in a post-pandemic world this summer.

The double whammy, however, is Liverpool’s alleged interest.

If Jurgen Klopp truly wants to bring En-Nesyri to Anfield this summer, Moyes will surely have no chance of signing him.

Missing out on the Sevilla ace would be a huge blow for the Hammers. He is exactly the kind of striker we need.

En-Nesyri has scored 22 goals in 43 games so far this term (Who Scored).

The 23-year-old is lively, quick and has great mobility and movement. He is pretty good in the air as well. In short, he is a complete striker.

As things stand, however, West Ham’s hopes of signing him seem bleak to say the least.

Liverpool allegedly eyeing up En-Nesyri is a hammer blow in itself. But his new £41 million price-tag could mean that signing the Moroccan is now a complete non-starter for the Hammers.
