Piotr Zielinski has allegedly now rejected a move to join West Ham United from Napoli in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Calciomercato.it who claim that the 28-year-old Napoli star didn’t like the idea of moving to the London Stadium from Naples.

David Moyes clearly wants to bolster his attacking midfield ranks at the London Stadium before the start of the new season.
West Ham missed out on Jesse Lingard and once his move to Nottingham Forest was confirmed, Moyes switched his attention to Naples star Zielinski.

However, it seems as though the Hammers could be set for yet another rejection…
Piotr Zielinski makes West Ham decision
The 28-year-old Napoli ace doesn’t fancy a move to the Hammers according to a report from Italian website Calciomercato.it.
That’s a real shame, because the 72-capped Poland international is a very good footballer indeed.
Zielinski is undoubtedly a huge talent and has the kind of ability that would definitely take West Ham’s attacking play to another level.
The 28-year-old bagged eight goals and five assists in 42 games for Napoli last season and in the 2020/21 campaign, he racked up 10 goals and 13 assists in 47 games (Transfermarkt).

In 35 Serie A outings last season, Zielinski made 36.1 passes on average per game and recorded an impressive completion rate of 84.8%. He also made an average of 1.4 key passes per match (Who Scored).
Zielinski would have been a very good addition for West Ham this summer. But we wouldn’t have been happy with David Moyes paying anything more than £30 million to bring him to the London Stadium.
At 28, the Pole won’t have much sell-on value in a few years, so overspending on him would be a mistake.
It seems as though that decision has now been taken out of the Scot’s hands, however, with Piotr Zielinski having rejected a move to West Ham.
On to the next one Moysie!
