Sebastien Haller has struggled since joining West Ham 16 months ago. With that in mind, David Moyes should consider selling the 26-year-old and signing Celtic hitman Odsonne Edouard in January.

The Hoops hitman moved to Celtic Park from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2018 for around £8 million (BBC).

And his goalscoring record in Glasgow has been very impressive. The 22-year-old has racked up 66 goals in 138 games for Neil Lennon’s side. He has 70 career goals to his name in total. (Transfermarkt).

It really does seem like the French striker could be the next big thing. And a move to the Premier League could be a vital step for him.

West Ham shouldn’t hesitate to sign Edouard

Haller has been incredibly poor for the Hammers since moving to east London. Yes, we haven’t played to his strengths and yes the system we are currently playing doesn’t seem to suit the 26-year-old.

But the former Eintracht Frankfurt man quite simply needs to do a lot more. And in truth, it looks like he doesn’t want to be at West Ham anymore.

So we might just be best off cutting our losses on the striker now before his value plummets even further still.

And it could be argued that Edouard would be a real upgrade on Haller. Sure, the Celtic ace hasn’t proved himself in an elite league yet, but it is clear to see that he has all of the attributes needed to succeed in England.

The Frenchman is strong, quick and is clinical in front of goal.

The problem for West Ham will be Edouard’s £30 million price-tag (The Sun). If we could get a similar fee for Haller, however, signing the Hoops hitman would be a no-brainer.

The 22-year-old is a star in the making. And we need to snap him up before one of Europe’s elite come knocking at Parkhead.
