The 27-year-old left the London Stadium in order to rediscover his best form. But that just hasn’t happened.
The West Ham owned South American has played just 49 minutes for the Portuguese outfit. He has been left on the bench in three out of six games and was completely omitted from the squad for last night’s Champions League clash against Marseille.
Having joined the Hammers from Lazio for £41.5 million (BBC) in the summer of 2018, much was expected of Anderson.
The 27-year-old arrived in England with a big reputation. But he failed to deliver. And unfortunately for him, the same thing is happening in Portugal.
Porto’s manager Sergio Conceicao has already called out the winger’s work-rate, when speaking to DESPORTO AO MINUTO. He clearly expects more from the former Lazio man.
It really is a disaster situation for West Ham. Anderson is getting no regular action. And his value is decreasing by the day.
