Real Betis are literally waiting for West Ham United to make a formal offer for centre-back Luiz Felipe.
According to Estadio Deportivo, West Ham met the agent of Luiz Felipe back on July 5th, and now Real Betis are waiting for the Hammers to make their interest in the Italy international formal.

That seemingly was not the case though.
David Moyes definitely needs to bring an established centre-back to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.
And it seems as though the Real Betis defender is someone who is on the West Ham radar…
Original Luiz Felipe to West Ham rumour cleared up after agent meeting
Estadio Deportivo claim that the Hammers have not made a formal offer for the Italy international just yet, and Real Betis are in fact just waiting for the East London outfit to make a concrete move for the central defender.
West Ham allegedly held a meeting with the centre-back’s agent 10 days ago.
In 23 La Liga outings for Betis last season, Felipe averaged 1.5 tackles, 1.2 interceptions, 4.3 clearances and 1.3 successful aerial duels per game (Who Scored).
He is incredibly solid in the air and tenacious in the tackle. He plays with real aggression and passion, and he would undoubtedly be a big fan favourite at the London Stadium.

£17 million for Luiz Felipe seems like decent value for West Ham to me. However, there is one word of warning for the Hammers.
He has experienced bad problems with his fitness over the past five years, and has missed 49 games through injury since 2018.
That is a big concern, considering the physical demands of Premier League football.
Much will depend on whether Moyes and the West Ham owners are prepared to take a risk with Felipe.
