West Ham United should consider a late deadline day loan move for Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle.

In order to do this, we would of course have to make Craig Dawson’s loan deal a permanent one.
With options drying up and time running out, anyone will do now.
And signing Magpies forward Dwight Gayle certainly wouldn’t be the worst option for the Hammers.
The 30-year-old is well down the centre-forward pecking order under Steve Bruce at St James’ Park.

He has only played six Premier League games this season for Newcastle with all of those appearances coming from the bench.
Some Hammers fans might dismiss the idea of signing the former Dagenham and Redbridge hitman.
West Ham signing Dwight Gayle on loan would be ideal short-term option
Whatever you say about the 30-year-old Newcastle man, he is a proven goalscorer, with 103 goals in 267 career games to his name (Transfermarkt).

Gayle would provide adequate cover and competition for Michail Antonio for the remainder of the season.
The Toon ace is quick along the ground and is a lethal finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
Signing him would provide David Moyes with the chance to play two up top. It would also take huge amounts of pressure off Michail Antonio’s shoulders.
Dwight Gayle wouldn’t be the first choice on any West Ham fans’ wish-list. With time running out and options drying up, however, the 30-year-old would certainly be better than nothing.
