West Ham United should make a bold move to sign Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Jurgen Klopp allegedly keen to move him on this summer.

The Sunday World claimed on Sunday that the Liverpool boss is willing to listen to offers for the 27-year-old at the end of the season.

Hammers boss David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium.

Sure, the Scot’s priority will be to sign an established striker. That shouldn’t deflect from our weaknesses in the middle of the park, however.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have forged a wonderful midfield partnership. West Ham have little in reserve, however.

West Ham should go all out for Liverpool ace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

With Jurgen Klopp allegedly willing to let Oxlade-Chamberlain leave Anfield this summer, the Liverpool ace would be the ideal option for the Hammers.

The 27-year-old is incredibly versatile. He can operate as a box-to-box midfielder, further forward in a play-making role or on either wing.

The Ox, who earns £110k-a-week (Football League FC) possesses blistering pace and he is incredibly powerful. He has all of the attributes needed to excel in the central midfield role and the Liverpool ace would provide West Ham with another truly top class option in the middle of the park.

David Moyes should have a great chance of bringing the former Arsenal ace to the London Stadium.

If the 27-year-old isn’t guaranteed regular action at Liverpool, he will surely want to move to a club where he will be given the opportunity to play regularly.

At his age he probably has two or three more major tournaments in him for England. And he will be desperate to get back into contention for the Three Lions squad.

West Ham would be a great option for the Ox. Based in London, near his former home, the Hammers will surely be an attractive option for the Reds ace.

Added to that, if we manage to secure European football for next season, the Liverpool man might actually jump at the chance to move to the London Stadium.

One red flag for the Hammers, however, will be Oxlade-Chamberlain’s checkered past with injuries.

If we can pick him up for a decent fee, however, it might just be worth the risk.

Make it happen Sully!
