Jesse Lingard will surely join Newcastle United instead of West Ham United on a free transfer in the summer window.
The Hammers are expected to battle it out with Newcastle for Lingard’s signature this summer.

The 29-year-old Manchester United ace will be out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of this season.
And he will then become available on a free transfer.
West Ham and Newcastle both wanted to sign Jesse back in January but neither club were able to prise him away from Man United (Sky Sports). So it will be no surprise to see both clubs go back in for him before the start of next season.

Lingard’s signature will be hot property in the summer. He is Premier League proven and hasn’t yet reached his 30th birthday.
Will he end up at the London Stadium or St James’ Park though?
Jesse Lingard will surely join Newcastle over West Ham
The 29-year-old will demand £150k-a-week and a huge signing on fee this summer according to a report from The Telegraph.
Now, the report claims that those demands have put off the Magpies. But let’s be honest here, they will have no problem paying Jesse whatever he wants.
West Ham on the other hand, will struggle to match those demands.
And if West Ham do miss out on Lingard to Newcastle, it would be a really big blow for us.

David Moyes was a massive fan of Lingard and he still is. The Scot labelled him as an ‘incredible’ player last season (Claret and Hugh).
The 29-year-old, who earns around £130k-a-week (The Daily Star) enjoyed a really successful loan spell with West Ham last season.
Lingard bagged nine goals and four assists in 16 Premier League games for the Hammers.
He was a real game-changer for us last term. However, if the 32-capped England international really is demanding what the Telegraph say he is then we just will not be able to sign him.
In my opinion, Lingard will surely join Newcastle instead.
