Nuno Espirito Santo has revealed that George Earthy is set to leave West Ham United on loan while refusing to rule out January departures for Callum Wilson, James Ward-Prowse and Mads Hermansen.
Nuno is not shying away from demanding further additions to his Hammers squad, on the back of the £44 million double-deal for centre-forward duo Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.
And the West Ham United boss appears to have no qualms about pushing a few fringe players towards the exit as he looks to make way for January signings.
Imagine you are Nuno – How are YOU approaching the FA Cup? 🏆
Rest players for the league? Or go all-out for cup glory?
Reports claim Callum Wilson could have his contract terminated, having now fallen to third-place at best in Nuno’s pecking order. James Ward-Prowse has not made a single appearance since the Graham Potter reign came crashing down in September.
The same can be said of Mads Hermansen, the goalkeeper who has featured only four times after that £18 million move from Leicester City in August.
Nuno will let Callum Wilson and James Ward-Prowse leave West Ham United

Speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s FA Cup third round clash with Queens Park Rangers, Nuno also revealed – albeit seemingly earlier than was planned – that George Earthy will spend the second half of the season out on loan.
“What I say is that, eventually, there are players that have to leave,” Nuno said when asked initially about Wilson’s future. “We are being really direct and honest for them to look at the best options.
“For example, George is joining… I don’t know if I can tell [you who he is signing for], but Earthy needs to play. He needs minutes to develop. We are trying to find out he best solutions for all our players.”
Earthy is desperate to start playing regular first-team football again. Bristol City’s reigning Young Player of the Year has been restricted to Under-21 action so far this term.
Ward-Prowse has been linked with Everton, and a reunion with David Moyes.
Which youngster would you most like to see START vs QPR in the FA Cup?
A chance for an up-and-coming keeper? A full debut for Kante, perhaps?
And West Ham are pursuing Al-Hilal’s Brazil goalkeeper Bento. Thus, opening the door for Hermansen.
“It’s clear the situation of James. It’s been clear since some time ago,” added Nuno. “He’s not among the options and it’s up to him to find the best solution for his future.
“We have honest conversations with all the players. We had a conversation with Mads. We are still to decide if he will play vs QPR, but he is here with us.”
