Now another alleged West Ham striker target is refusing to leave as Martin Braithwaite digs his heels in

West Ham United’s striker options look to be dwindling by the day at the moment.

West Ham fans are still reeling after reports that prime target Tammy Abraham does not want to join the club.

That comes less than three weeks after insider ExWHUemployee said he did want to join.

West Ham have already missed out on Patson Daka to Leicester. And other reported targets Olivier Giroud and Marko Arnautovic have opted for moves to Italy.

Moyes striker options dwindling by the day?

With Ivan Toney staying at Brentford, it seems David Moyes’s options are narrowing daily.

The Scot is adamant he will only sign players that will improve West Ham and not just for the sake of it.

But now another forward who has been heavily linked with the club has insisted he is not going anywhere.

Martin Braithwaite was said to be on the verge of completing a move to West Ham just last week according to Sport.

Hammers linked with Braithwaite but striker refuses to move – report

The Hammers were said to be in advanced talks to sign the 30-year-old Barcelona forward. And the report claimed a €15 million (£12.8 million) transfer fee had been agreed for a player linked with West Ham since January.

But despite having no future at Barca, Braithwaite is digging his heels in and refusing to be transferred to West Ham – or anywhere else.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Barca are desperate to move him on as part of a fire sale to raise much needed funds but the Dane is having none of it.

West Ham fans don’t want Braithwaite anyway and insider claims move was not in the offing

The report claims former Middlesbrough player and multi-millionaire business entrepreneur Braithwaite is intent on remaining a Barcelona player and keen to see out his contract, which runs until 2024.

It’s reported the only exception for Braithwaite would be if Barcelona could find a deal that would benefit them, as well as finding a club that would improve on his current contract.

West Ham are pretty desperate.

But surely not so desperate that they will abandon Moyes’s transfer philosophy to sign a player the wrong side of 30 on big wages who fans don’t even want at the club.

Indeed insider ExWHUemployee denied West Ham were close to signing Braithwaite over the weekend.

In other news, Moyes has had honest conversation with West Ham man over his future.

And Hutchison says West Ham owners ignored advice to sign rapid £30m star now bound for Villa.
