There has been a new twist in West Ham United’s bid to sign £25 million rated Serbia and Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
West Ham have been linked with Milenkovic since last summer.
The £25m-rated 23-year-old only has one year left on his contract at La Viola.
And it has previously been reported that he has no intention to extend his deal.

West Ham hoping to land Milenkovic for knock down fee as defender enters last year of contract
That has attracted West Ham who are hoping to land something of a bargain.
The Hammers bid around £15.5m for Milenkovic last month according to a report from Juve Live.
Insider ExWHUemployee claimed Milenkovic is open to a move to West Ham.
Things have gone quiet regarding West Ham and Milenkovic ever since, though. And the last word on the potential transfer some weeks ago was that Fiorentina were haggling over the valuation of their star defender.

New twist as Fiorentina decide to sell within weeks if Serbian refuses to sign new contract
But now there has been a new twist in West Ham’s pursuit of Milenkovic.
That’s after Il Corriere dello Sport reported today that Fiorentina will sell the player ‘in the next few weeks’ if he does not sign a new contract.
And it seems La Viola are not overly confident as the club have already sounded out three possible replacements.
“Fiorentina are in talks to extend Nikola Milenkovic’s contract, but the defender will be sold this summer if the two parties don’t reach an agreement,” Il Corriere dello Sport reports.

Replacements already lined up – report
“Fiorentina don’t want to see the player leave the Artemio Franchi for nothing.
“So they are ready to discuss with potential suitors if the Serbia international refuses to extend his stay.”
According to the report, the likes of Marija Nastasic (Schalke 04), Andrea Cistana (Brescia) and Javi Sanchez (Valladolid) have been targeted by the Tuscans as possible replacements.
