West Ham United are allegedly targeting six new signings after the confirmed arrival of Nayef Aguerd from Rennes.
That’s according to a report from The Evening Standard who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is in bullish mood as he looks to build a squad capable of challenging for honours on all fronts next season.
After the signing of Aguerd was confirmed today, Moyes now wants to bring up to SIX more new players to the London Stadium (The Evening Standard).
The West Ham boss will undoubtedly be on the look-out for a top-class striker, an elite left-back and one or two powerful and energetic central midfielders.
Getting a deal to sign Alphonse Areola on a permanent basis over the line will feature high up on Moyes’s agenda as well.
And it seems as though it could be a very busy summer transfer window indeed at the London Stadium…
West Ham want six new signings
The Evening Standard claims that Moyes is now set to embark on a big spending spree after the club confirmed the capture of Aguerd from Rennes today in a £28 million deal.
The Hammers have been linked with so many players over the past month.
It seems as though our business could be set to kick off in earnest now though.
If Moyes manages to get those three players through the door, as well as as a couple of additions to beef out the squad, West Ham will be in a really strong position heading into the 2022/23 campaign.
If the Hammers manage to get through the Europa Conference League play-off round, we will have a huge build-up of games from August up until the World Cup in Qatar in November.
So signing at least six more players will be pivotal to our hopes of competing on all fronts next season.
It’s time for West Ham to make a big statement by following the Aguerd capture with a whole host of quality new signings.
And it seems as though that is exactly what David Moyes is intending to do.
