West Ham United being linked with a mega transfer for a truly elite Premier League winger in the January window.

The January window will be vitally important for Graham Potter, as he looks to turn around West Ham‘s fortunes.

The Hammers’ business is already kicking into gear, with a move to sign Brazilian striker Yuri Alberto believed to be in the pipeline.

However, Potter will need to make more additions than that, if he is to guide his side to a successful second half of the season.

The squad left behind by Julen Lopetegui is an ageing and unbalanced one.

Potter has to address that over the course of the next two transfer windows.

That said, he really needs to make some moves in the transfer market for the here and now.

And one name being linked with us is the most exciting rumour I’ve heard yet…

West Ham eye January window move for Premier League winger

It’s about time that West Ham made a really big splash in the January transfer window.

The Hammers’ inability to strengthen our ranks last year in the winter cost us dearly.

I’m praying that the West Ham board don’t make the same mistake again.

Now we’ve been linked with a truly sensational transfer move.

According to a report from Caught Offside, West Ham are eyeing up a stunning move to sign Southampton winger Tyler Dibling, but he won’t come cheap.

The Saints want £55 million for Dibling – a quite extortionate fee for a teenager.

I would obviously love the exceptional Southampton starlet to join the Hammers in the January transfer window.

However, there are a couple of big problems here.

Firstly, the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Newcastle United and Aston Villa want to sign the 18-year-old star as well.

And secondly, as much as Dibling would be a sensational addition for the Hammers, we don’t really need another left-footed right winger right now do we.

All of our efforts should be going into signing a proven striker, a powerful central midfielder and an accomplished centre-back.

If West Ham manage to get two top-class signings over the line in the January window, I’ll be more than happy.

However, I can’t see Dibling being one of them unfortunately.
