West Ham United’s hopes of signing Norwich ace Emiliano Buendia could finally be over very soon with Arsenal allegedly closing in on the South American.

Football.London claimed in the summer that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 24-year-old Norwich star to the London Stadium.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen on Emi Buendia as well (Express). The Spaniard is allegedly ready to offer a player plus cash deal in order to bring the Argentinian ace to the Emirates.

Eurosport recently claimed that the Canaries will demand somewhere around £25 million for Emiliano Buendia.

West Ham would have had their work cut-out with that asking price alone. But with Arsenal now reportedly pushing ahead with their interest in the 24-year-old, it could well be mission impossible for the Hammers.

Missing out on the Canaries star will hurt. He is a really top talent and has there ability to go on and become one of the Premier League’s best players.

Arsenal to beat West Ham to Emiliano Buendia?

The Gunners obviously have more financial firepower than West Ham.

The Hammers could have some funds sooner rather than later, however, with Sebastien Haller closing in on a £23 million move to Ajax (L’Equipe).

If West Ham do sell the Ivorian, should we go all out for a player like Buendia? Or are there other areas of the squad that need addressing.

In truth, David Moyes has more pressing matters at hand than signing another winger.

Missing out on Buendia will still hurt though. And if the 24-year-old does join Arsenal, he will undoubtedly go on to become a real hit in North London.
