It is ‘impossible’ for clubs like Spurs, Roma and other rival suitors to sign West Ham ace Crysencio Summerville this summer – because of Man United.
That’s according to a leading Italian journalist who has revealed Serie A giants Roma have indeed been in touch with the Hammers to try and beat the likes of Manchester United to the signing of Crysencio Summerville.
Spurs and PSG have also been heavily linked with a move for West Ham’s Dutch winger.
After Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky took over from David Sullivan as West Ham chief, the club no longer needs to sell players for financial reasons.
Man United make it ‘impossible’ for Spurs and co to sign Summerville
Kretinsky has made it clear to the likes of Manchester United – who have also been linked with Mateus Fernandes and El Hadji Malick Diouf – that West Ham will not be listening to bids below their valuation.
PSG have reportedly offered a combined £112m for Fernandes and Summerville.

That was before Man United then registered interest in Summerville, who scored for Holland on his competitive debut for the senior side in the World Cup draw with Japan.
David Ornstein has revealed Man United’s interest in Summerville is ‘serious’.

And that, according to prominent Italian journalist Matteo Moretto, means it is now impossible for Roma – and other lesser clubs – to sign Summerville from West Ham this summer.
According to Moretto, Roma have already given up after making contact with the Hammers only to discover Manchester United, who are back in the Champions League, rendered their interest futile.
What STOOD OUT to you in Daniel Kretinsky’s statement?
The 'Czech Sphinx' has big ambitions…
“So, regarding Summerville, I simply want to point out that it’s true, Roma had asked for information in the past, but given the type of operation, especially the amount involved, it’s a really complicated operation for Roma,” Moretto said.
“In fact I’d almost completely rule it out, because today there are clubs like Manchester United who are coming forward in a more concrete way, so for now Summerville and Italy are two things that I wouldn’t put together.”
Red Devils dealing with a serious businessman now in West Ham chief Kretinsky
Man United won’t get Summerville on the cheap, though.
Under David Sullivan and Karren Brady, that might have been a possibility.
But the Red Devils are now dealing with one of the richest men in Europe in Kretinsky – who is worth £13bn all told and is a serious business tycoon.
Hammers News was the first to reveal West Ham will not accept anything less than double the amount they paid for Summerville which is £52m.
The Hammers are also hoping Summerville will continue his brilliant start to the World Cup and spark a bidding war for his services.
So Man United might be minded to make a serious offer while the competition is inferior.
