Man United defender Harry Maguire has agreed personal terms with West Ham claims a reporter close to David Sullivan.
The biggest hurdle in West Ham signing Harry Maguire from Manchester United has been overcome.
West Ham have been in talks with the Red Devils over a transfer for their deposed captain.
The Hammers saw an improved £30m bid for Maguire officially accepted by Man United this morning, as reported by the likes of Sky Sports.
But some journalists – including Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol – had cast some doubt over whether Maguire would be able to agree personal terms with West Ham.
Many Manchester United fans were keen to see fourth-choice centre-back Maguire depart as the Erik ten Hag looks to raise transfer funds for further signings.

And with West Ham in desperate need of reinforcements and some leadership, Hammers supporters have been hoping Maguire would join them hungry to prove a point and get his club career back on track.
Well there is good news for fans of both clubs this evening it seems.
Because Man United defender Maguire has agreed personal terms with West Ham claims a reporter close to David Sullivan.
Sean Whetstone counts West Ham vice-chair Karren Brady and majority owner Sullivan among his sources inside the club.
And he claims Maguire has agreed personal terms on a move ahead of a medical at West Ham.

‘There’s a chance’
“Should be a big 24 hours tomorrow for West Ham,” Whetstone said on Wednesday night.
“Edson Alvarez due to be announced. James Ward-Prowse and Harry Maguire to have medicals after agreeing personal terms.
“There is a chance all three players could be registered before Saturday.”
It was reported earlier this evening by Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth that West Ham are ‘all systems go’ to try and get Ward-Prowse registered by Friday’s deadline so he can face Bournemouth.
And it seems the same can be said for Maguire.
Whetstone states personal terms – the perceived biggest hurdle between the England centre-back joining the Hammers – are agreed and the medical is booked.
So barring any issues on that front, Maguire will become a West Ham player in the next 24-48 hours.
And he could – if rumours elsewhere are to be believed – be named captain by David Moyes too.
