Sao Paulo centre-back Luizao has allegedly rejected a January transfer window move to West Ham United.
That’s according to Lance who claim that the Hammers have just made a contract offer to the 20-year-old Brazilian, who will be a free agent in January when his contract with Sao Paulo comes to an end.
Unfortunately for West Ham though, Luizao has rejected that offer.

David Moyes will undoubtedly be looking for a new centre-half in the January transfer window, with West Ham duo Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson now 34 and 32 respectively.
Luizao would have been an interesting signing for the Hammers.
It seems as though the Scot will have to look elsewhere now though…
Luizao rejects January transfer window move to West Ham
According to Lance, the 20-year-old defender has somewhat surprisingly turned down the chance to move to the London Stadium in January.
This is because of extra demands that he made to West Ham that weren’t met, including a fee to be paid to his club Sao Paulo.
We actually think that he would have been a smart addition for the Hammers.
He might be totally unproven in the Premier League and very rough around the edges, but signing him on a free transfer would have negated the risks involved in the deal.

Luizao is an aggressive young defender whose playing style is quintessentially South American, what with his tenacity and aggression.
He’s a very good tackler and is commanding in the air. It does seem as though Luizao has all of the attributes needed to succeed in England with West Ham.
Quite where Luizao will be plying his trade after the new year remains to be seen.
But it now seems certain that he won’t be moving to West Ham in the January transfer window.
