Ian Barrigan has left his role as club scout at Liverpool in order to join the agency that represents West Ham ace Jarrod Bowen.

That’s according to a report form The Telegraph who claims that Barrigan, who was head of pre-academy recruitment at Liverpool, has now taken up a position at PLG football agency.

Bowen has been represented by PLG during his time in the game.

The 25-year-old Hammers ace has been in sensational form this season and alongside Declan Rice, he has been the most important player David Moyes has at his disposal at the London Stadium.

There have been rumours that Bowen could be heading to Anfield in the summer, however.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants to sign the former Hull City ace according to the likes of the Liverpool Echo and The Mirror.

Telegraph claims that Ian Barrigan has left his role as a scout at Anfield and has joined PLG football agency.

They represent West Ham ace Bowen and Liverpool duo Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.

Now, this news could mean that Bowen is actually more likely to leave the Hammers for the Reds.

Perhaps Barrigan arriving at PLG will help convince the 25-year-old West Ham star that his future lies at Anfield.

Especially with Alexander-Arnold and Robertson under the same agency umbrella.

Much will depend on how much Barrigan tries to sell Liverpool to the hard-working English attacker.

In fairness, he is still under contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2025, so West Ham hold all of the cards. Matching his ambition by signing some top-class players in the summer will be vital to our hopes of keeping hold of him through.

If the West Ham board fail to back Moyes once again in the summer, then it would be no surprise to see Bowen head out the door and join Liverpool.

And Barrigan’s new job may well help facilitate that unfortunately.
