West Ham United allegedly face competition from Leeds United for the signing of Rennes striker Martin Terrier this summer.
That’s according to a report from L’Equipe who claim that the Hammers and Leeds both want to acquire the 25-year-old centre-forward’s signature in the summer transfer window.

Leeds manager Jesse Marsch is obviously keen to bolster his attacking ranks at Elland Road as well.

This could be an intriguing battle for Terrier. If West Ham manage to sign Armando Broja and/or Gianluca Scamacca though, Leeds may well have a free run at the Frenchman…
Leeds join West Ham in Terrier race
L’Equipe claim that Leeds are now battling it out with the Hammers to sign the 25-year-old Rennes striker.
The Ligue 1 outfit will allegedly demand around €40 million (£34 million) for the Frenchman this summer (L’Equipe).
We believe that the Rennes attacker will be a very good signing for whichever club wins the race for his signature in the summer transfer window.
Terrier bagged 21 goals and four assists in 37 Ligue 1 games for Rennes last season (Transfermarkt).

Much like his name suggests, the Frenchman is a hard-working, tenacious forward. He has bags of pace, is a good finisher and is very strong in the air.
Terrier is also very good when playing with his back to goal, holding up the ball and bringing his teammates into the game.
The Frenchman has been described as ‘rapid’ by Total Football Analysis. He has also been labelled as ‘brilliant’ by Ligue 1’s official Twitter account.
For £34 million, Martin Terrier would be a very good signing for either West Ham or Leeds.
As mentioned earlier though, should the Hammers sign Broja or Scamacca this week, Leeds will surely be front-runners for Terrier’s signature.
