Reports in the Czech Republic say that West Ham United youngster Krisztian Hegyi is set to join Sparta Prague.
His representatives are not ready to confirm or deny such rumours, however.
If speculation is to be believed, Hegyi has already passed his medical with Sparta Prague. Czech publication InFotbol reports that Sparta – who are co-owned by none other than Daniel Kretinsky – turned to the West Ham United kid after failing to lure Burnley veteran Martin Dubravka to the capital.

When contacted by Csak Foci, though, Krisztian Hegyi’s camp were keeping their cards close to their chest.
Krisztian Hegyi to Sparta Prague links addressed as West Ham United future lies uncertain
Tibor Pataky, the CMG management agency director, acknowledges the fact that Sparta Prague have been linked with Hegyi frequently across recent windows.
He also confirms that the 6ft 4ins shot-stopper is training in his native Hungary after ending last season on loan at MTK Budapest.

“Krisztian is currently in Hungary and is preparing for the next season by doing individual training,” says Pataky. “As for Sparta, Sparta Prague have been mentioned as a possibility for Krisztian several times in recent years.
“It has always been like this in the last three transfer seasons, and this is no different. We cannot say more about this for now.”
Speaking in March, Hegyi admitted he was still dreaming of a role at West Ham. But at the age of 23, he is past the cut-off point for players playing reserve-team football. Furthermore, Hegyi appears to have been overtaken by Finlay Herrick and Mason Terry behind the scenes at Rush Green.
Herrick is likely to be promoted to Mads Hermansen’s back-up in the Championship.
Hegyi did not want to give up on his Hammers future
What STOOD OUT to you in Daniel Kretinsky’s statement?
The 'Czech Sphinx' has big ambitions…
In that conversation with the official MTK website three months ago, Hegyi confirmed that West Ham had the option to extend his contract by a further 12 months.
His current deal expires in 2027. It is not certain whether he would join Sparta Prague on loan, or whether the Hammers would be willing to agree a permanent deal.
“I firmly believe that I will get an opportunity in England one day,” Hegyi said at the time. “I still have a one-year contract and an option [to extend]. The most important thing is to get back to the level I was at before my injury.”
Hegyi, who has played a half-century of Premier League 2 appearances, missed the final three months of the 2024/25 season with a torn thigh muscle.
