Daniel Kretinsky is giving Nuno Espirito his full backing to blow West Ham’s Championship rivals away as five of the club’s targets are named.

West Ham are already strong title favourites following their relegation to the Championship.

But they could threaten to blow the opposition out of the water with the plans new majority owner Daniel Kretinsky is putting into place.

Last week Hammers News reported that West Ham will embark on a transfer spending spree after Kretinsky pledged to loan the club £100m for signings and convinced key players of his ambition.

The Hammers made it clear signings are coming after Nils Koppen’s appointment as the club’s new head of recruitment.

The Hammers’ transfer business is springing into life following the arrival of Nils Koppen.

Now Mail Sport and others have named a list of players the club is eyeing for their bid to return to the Premier League at the first attempt.

The list is headed up by midfield playmaker James McAtee, who has been linked with West Ham on several occasions in the past.

According to the report, Koppen is a big admirer of McAtee and is leading the move.

Ironically, Nottingham Forest beat West Ham to McAtee’s signature when Nuno was manager. But reports emerged at the time that the former Man City academy graduate was forced on Nuno.

Sa is another target named on the list alongside Troyes’ Martin Adeline.

Another winger, Simon Adingra, has also been named as a key Hammers target after a successful loan spell at Monaco from Sunderland.

The 24-year-old former Brighton winger is wanted by Monaco on loan again but Foot Mercato claims West Ham want to bring the Ivory Coast man to London and the player is interested after initial talks.

It is clear West Ham are serious about signings this summer with McAtee, McNeil, Adingra, Adeline and Sa on Nuno and Koppen’s list.

There could be exciting times ahead and a very short but sweet stay in the Championship.
