West Ham United managed to keep a hold of Crysencio Summerville during the winter transfer window – but the situation could change again this summer amid continued interest from Roma.
Summerville says he is happy at West Ham United, but it remains to be seen what happens at the end of the season.
Where do West Ham need to strengthen the MOST this summer?
Clearly, much will depend on what division the club are playing in, while previous reports have also suggested that the club might need to sell players this summer regardless.
Indeed, Roma initially tried to sign Summerville in January 2026, and their interest has not waned.
Roma still want to sign West Ham star Summerville
According to Italian outlet Il Messaggero, the Serie A giants have continued to monitor the 24-year-old ever since.
With Paulo Dybala potentially leaving, Summerville has been identified as a potential replacement.
The report adds that Summerville shares the same agent as compatriot Donyell Malen, who joined the club on loan from Aston Villa in January.
They go on to claim that a deal is considered much easier to do if West Ham are relegated.
BREAKING NEWS! 🚨 How do you feel about West Ham appointing Karim Virani?
Virani joins as interim CEO following Karren Brady's exit…
Brady wanted to offer Summerville a new contract
Interestingly, before her departure, Baroness Karren Brady wanted to offer Summerville a new contract after his improved form for West Ham.
While the former Leeds star will still have three years to run on his deal by the end of the season, it seems there was an initial plan in place to reward him. It remains to be seen if Brady‘s plan is ever actioned.

If West Ham do need to sell players, Summerville would certainly be a prime candidate.
His market value has surely soared over the last few months after some remarkable form, while he still has a lot of resale value.
Fans here in east London and beyond, however, will no doubt be hoping it doesn’t come to that.
The hope should be that the club are able to build around players of his supreme talent should they manage to stay in the Premier League.
