Journalist Paul Brown has lifted the lid on the Amadou Onana take on a move to West Ham after a big claim that David Moyes wants the Everton star and the Toffees are willing to sell.
West Ham and Everton fought over the signing of Amadou Onana last summer.
The Toffees came in at the 11th hour to beat the Hammers to the £33m midfielder.
The Belgian powerhouse looked all set to sign for West Ham, who had a bid accepted by Lille at the fourth time of asking.
But Everton came in, offered Onana a greater guarantee of a starting spot and David Moyes reportedly pulled the plug on the move.

Journalist Paul Brown lifts lid on Amadou Onana take on a move to West Ham after big claim that David Moyes wants Everton star
Onana has impressed for Everton with his ability and leadership for one so young.
But he lost his place towards the end of the season and the Blues have Financial Fair Play issues to resolve.
At the weekend it was reported that Moyes is serious about signing Onana and Everton are willing to sell to West Ham for the right price.
Now journalist Paul Brown has lifted the lid on the Onana take on a move to West Ham after the big claim that Moyes wants the Everton star and they’re willing to sell.
Speaking to Give Me Sport, Brown reiterated that Everton are under FFP pressure to raise funds through sales.

‘I do think he would be interested’
And he believes Onana wants to join West Ham and play European football. Brown also suggests the Hammers could have a free run at the midfielder given a lack of interest from elite clubs.
“I do think he would be interested in West Ham, especially as they are in Europe again and just managed to win a trophy,” Brown said.
“He is young enough to know that he’s got time on his hands, and I don’t genuinely think that a top tier Champions League club is coming in for him this summer….
“West Ham would be a really interesting place for him.”
Opinion: Onana a much better option than others being linked with Hammers
West Ham are also being linked with the likes of Joao Palhinha, James Ward-Prowse and Denis Zakaria to replace Declan Rice.
But Onana is a much better option for the Hammers for a number of reasons.
He is just 21 and has huge potential which could see his value soar in the coming years.
Onana is excellent defensively and has proved he can drive a team forwards from midfield.
His leadership has been hugely impressive for one so young – much like Rice. And – perhaps most importantly for a Moyes side – he is utterly dominant aerially in both boxes.
Moyes could get the most out of that at West Ham in a better side.
