West Ham have made a formal bid for Independiente del Valle midfielder Moises Caicedo according to Ecuadorian journalist Jorge Pazmino.

The Hammers were first linked with a move to sign the 19-year-old Ecuadorian starlet at the end of last month by the Daily Record.
West Ham allegedly faced competition from Manchester United and Everton for the teenager’s signature, however.
It seems as though the Hammers have stolen a march on their Premier League rivals though.

Ecuadorian journalist Jorge Pazmino claims that West Ham have made a formal offer to acquire 70% of Moises Caicedo’s rights. It is unclear as to how much the Hammers will actually have to pay.
The Daily Record suggest that he could be available for around £5.4 million, however.
David Moyes desperately needs to bolster his central midfield ranks at the London Stadium.
Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have forged a wonderfully strong partnership in the middle of the park.
With Robert Snodgrass closing in on a move to West Brom, however, Moyes has only mark Noble in reserve.
West Ham make concrete Moises Caicedo approach
The young midfielder would be a very strong addition for the Hammers.
He has racked up six goals and two assists in 30 games for the Ecuadorian outfit (Transfermarkt).

Caicedo is most comfortable when playing in the holding central midfield role. He has also flourished in the box-to-box role, however.
The teenager is highly energetic and is an aggressive presser according to the Daily Record. So he would suit David Moyes’s system at West Ham perfectly.
Let’s hope that something comes of this. West Ham are so short in central midfield.
And Moises Caicedo could end up being a real asset for the Hammers if Moyes does manage to bring him to the London Stadium.
