Just when West Ham fans thought they’d seen the end of the Harry Maguire saga it rears its head once again.
There is still uncertainty over whether David Moyes will remain at West Ham beyond the summer.
The Scot’s existing contract is up and he recently claimed it is he who is stalling on signing a new one.
The top source inside West Ham recently told Hammers News the situation will be assessed and sorted at the end of the season.
Regardless of what happens technical director Tim Steidten will be calling the shots on transfers.
Moyes wants Hammers to back him with key signing
But it seems the manager is urging the Hammers to back him to sign one of his longstanding targets if he stays.
Because a journalist claims Moyes wants to make one more attempt to bring Harry Maguire to West Ham.
Fans will be well aware of the West Ham and Maguire saga.
The Man United defender looked set to join the Hammers in the summer. But the move collapsed when the Red Devils refused to meet Maguire’s demands for a pay off.

One last try for Maguire claims journalist close to Moyes
Earlier this season Maguire said he felt vindicated for staying at Old Trafford after a resurgence in the starting XI due to injuries.
But now Scottish reporter Alan Nixon, who counts Moyes as a close contact, claims the Hammers boss wants to make one more try for the 31-year-old.
Because Moyes feels his current centre backs don’t win enough aerial duels.
“Moyes is keen to bring in a defender who can win headers after realising that is a missing part of his Hammers squad,” Nixon reports on his Patreon.
“And the Scot is coming back to Maguire as an ideal man to fill the vacancy – months after first trying to land him from Old Trafford…
“However Hammers will try again and hope that the asking price has dropped enough to make the signing possible. And with Maguire closer to the end of his lucrative contract he may be more open to a deal in London that would extend his time in the Premier League.”
Nixon claims West Ham are hoping a bid of between £15-20m and a two or three year contract will get a deal done for Maguire this summer.
