The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan in January from Manchester United.
And he has made a truly massive impact at the London Stadium.
Lingard has racked up nine goals and three assists in 14 games for the Hammers so far.
Jesse’s performances have tailed off over the past couple of weeks.
That should not detract from the importance of West Ham signing him permanently in the summer, however.

The Athletic recently claimed that the Hammers’ hopes of signing him permanently are fading by the day.

If West Ham qualify for Europe and are prepared to pay what Manchester United want for Lingard, there is no reason why the 28-year-old won’t move to the London Stadium on a permanent basis in the summer.
Much will depend on how much Man United actually demand for Jesse. We really shouldn’t be paying anything more than £20 million for a player entering the final year of his current contract.
It remains to be seen where Lingard will be playing his football next season. And there will likely be plenty of twists and turns before anything is decided.
