The 28-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with the Hammers.

David Moyes would be delighted if he could get a deal for the 28-capped England international over the line.

The Scot labelled Lingard as an ‘exceptional’ player last season.

Getting him signed up would bring a real feel-good factor to the London Stadium. And it will be vital to our hopes of success this season.
