West Ham United have a five-man striker shortlist this summer and Abdallah Sima is right at the top of it.

West Ham could end up in new UEFA Conference League for inaugural season

According to the likes of ExWHUemployee, David Moyes has drawn up a list of five forwards as he looks to finally replace Sebastien Haller in the next window.

Consistent press reports and insider claims point to Slavia Prague forward Sima being at the head of that list.

The others are believed to be Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham, Sevilla star Youssef En-Nesyri, Blackburn’s Adam Armstrong and Ivan Toney of Brentford.

Slavia’s Sima one of West Ham’s prime striker targets this summer after being recommended by Soucek

Sima has been linked with West Ham for some time after Hammers star and former Slavia teammate Tomas Soucek admitted he had recommended the Senegalese to Moyes.

But any deal looked unlikely when reports emerged claiming Slavia wanted as much as £35-40m for the 19-year-old sensation.

Well now insiders Claret & Hugh have made an exciting claim that could see the path cleared for West Ham to get their man.

According to C&H, Slavia have slapped a big discount on Sima and the price may drop as low as £25m.

Insiders make exciting claim over big discount on fee, but there’s one problem

But this is West Ham and no striker chase is ever straightforward.

And this appears to be no different. The same report claims the player himself would prefer a move to the Bundesliga.

“West Ham target Abdallah Sima is open to a move into the Premier League but ClaretandHugh has learned the Bundesliga is currently his No 1 choice,” C&H claim.

“President Jaroslav Tvrdík denied the (£40m) price and we have now been told by sources close to the club that £30 million has become a more likely fee.

“However, in a covid-hit market that could even fall further to around £25 million as was the case when the club demanded £8 million for (Vladimir) Coufal before agreeing to £5.5 million.”

At that kind of price West Ham are well in business. Moyes already has £20m set aside from the sale of Haller.

Sima has scored 19 goals in 32 games across all competitions. He has also laid on six assists for Slavia in his breakthrough season.

Moyes needs all-action striker in lone role and Sima fits the bill

Four of his goals and one assist have come in the Europa League. That includes the fine strike which helped knock Leicester out.

The tall forward would be ideal for West Ham under Moyes. The Hammers need a forward who can do a bit of everything in that lone role.

And Sima fits the bill. He can hold the ball up, is quick, has great strength can finish and is a threat aerially.

Any interest from a Bundesliga side could derail West Ham’s plans, though, if C&H’s report is correct.

There could be some big German clubs looking for the next young striker talent this summer.

One of those could be Borussia Dortmund if they sell the sensational Erling Haaland.
