West Ham United will push on with their interest in Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham despite being told he wants around £80k-a-week after making an enquiry, according to Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers are currently desperately short in the centre-forward department.
David Moyes must be looking to bring at least one established centre-forward to the London Stadium as a matter of priority this summer.
We have already been linked with a plethora of names.
One of those names is Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham. Eurosport claims the Hammers have made an enquiry for the England international hitman.
West Ham not deterred by Tammy Abraham wage demands
And now Claret and Hugh suggest that West Ham will push on with their interest in the 23-year-old hitman despite the fact that he is demanding around £80k-a-week wages.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has so much attacking talent at his disposal. So it would be no surprise to see Abraham leave the west London outfit this summer.
The 23-year-old Blues ace would surely be a very smart addition for West Ham this summer. Especially if we can pick him up for a reasonable fee at the end of the season.
Abraham has scored 90 goals in 207 senior games for Chelsea, Bristol City, Aston Villa and Swansea City (Transfermarkt).
If given regular first-team action at West Ham, the 23-year-old could be a real hit in East London.
Whether the Hammers owners are prepared to pay the kind of cash required to prise Tammy away from Stamford Bridge, however, remains to be seen.
