Get over it Jack West Ham fans are sick of hearing you whine

That’s according to reliable West Ham inside source ExWHUemployee.

West Ham fans were somewhat underwhelmed by the club’s dealings in the summer window.

The Hammers turned Tomas Soucek’s loan into a permanent move and signed his former Slavia Prague teammate Vladimir Coufal for around £5million.

Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma then arrived on loan, the latter with an obligation to buy should he pass a second medical at the end of the season.

West Ham fans underwhelmed by lack of arrivals

As a result West Ham boss David Moyes has been left short in several key areas.

That could be exposed as early as Saturday with growing fears over the fitness of star striker Michail Antonio for the trip to Liverpool and potentially beyond.

West Ham claim transfer funds were limited due to the impact of the global health crisis.

And with fans still unable to attend games, possibly for the rest of the season, money will undoubtedly be tight again for West Ham come the January window.

Moyes tried but failed to land a top quality central defender in the summer window.

Hammers already regretting not pushing through King deal?

And West Ham are already regretting not having pushed the boat out to sign Bournemouth forward Josh King in light of Antonio’s injury concerns.

Now according to Twitter and podcast personality ExWHUemployee, the Hammers could use the January window to land a bargain or two.

West Ham could look to take advantage of several players whose contracts expire next summer by landing cut-price deals in the January transfer window.

According to Ex on The West Ham Way podcast on October 28th, West Ham could be interested in as many as SEVEN players in a variety of positions who are running down their contracts.

Insider lists seven players he expects Hammers to be interested in this January

The players named include forward target King, Sheffield United’s John Lundstram, Porto striker Moussa Marega, Napoli centre-back Nikola Maksimovic, Torino defender Nicolas Nkoulou, King’s Cherries teammate and centre-half Steve Cook and Huddersfield’s soon-to-be out of contract midfielder Juninho Bacuna.

ExWHUemployee said no moves have been made on the various targets.

But he expects that to change come January.

“He (Lundstram) is someone we’ve looked at before, box-to-box midfielder, he was at Everton with David Moyes,” ExWHUemployee said on The West Ham Way podcast on October 28th.

“Moyes knows about him, as does (Alan) Irvine and I think there will be a potential move for him in January. There’s a lot of ‘ifs and buts’ until then but it wouldn’t surprise me because I know he’s been on the radar.

“Other players who’ve been on the radar, whose contracts are up in the summer, who we could potentially move for in January are Moussa Marega, he’s a striker at Porto, we’ve been heavily linked with him for years, his contract’s up, so if (Michail) Antonio does continue to be injured that could be an option…

“Now there are no moves for these players at this point. Lundstram I expect there probably will be a move at some point soon.

“But these are potential players that wouldn’t surprise me if we made a move for them in January.”
