West Ham United will make signings before the transfer window closes.
Newcastle star’s comment will cut David Moyes to the bone on his West Ham mission
That’s according to insiders close to co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold, Claret & Hugh.
West Ham remain the only club in the Premier League not to have made a new signing so far this summer as spending reaches near the £850 million mark.
The Tomas Soucek deal was arranged in January and was activated when West Ham secured safety last season.

Toxic atmosphere at West Ham amid dismal transfer window so far
The atmosphere at West Ham appears to have turned toxic heading into the new season.
Sullivan and Gold have told David Moyes he must sell to buy.
The owners sparked a revolt from fans and players by selling Grady Diangana to potential relegation rivals West Bromwich Albion for £20 million.
Frustration and resentment has been growing among fans. It comes as Moyes continues to miss out on reported targets.
From Eberechi Eze joining Crystal Palace to Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson signing for Newcastle.
Ollie Watkins has signed for Aston Villa and defensive targets Cedric Kipre and Antonee Robinson joined West Brom and Fulham respectively.

Insider with links to owners brings much-needed good news
West Ham are trying to sign Burnley defender James Tarkowski as Moyes tries to add more steel to his defence (Evening Standard).
But supporters have serious doubts whether the club will get any deals over the line with three weeks left of the window.
There is finally some good news for fans, though, if Claret & Hugh’s claims are accurate.
“Claret and Hugh was told the Tarkowski “process was continuing” with a source adding: ‘These are usual negotiations when the club concerned is not a willing seller – we are not at the end of things’,” Claret & Hugh states.
“He added: “There are obviously backup targets but we are doing what we can to bring in the priority target which is – as is well known – Tarkowski’.
“‘I am confident there will be new players at the club before the summer window close’.”

Signings and winning start can lift the mood for unhappy Hammers
If Moyes can somehow seal a deal for Tarkowski – or an alternative quality defender or two – it will lift the mood at West Ham.
Supporters know the club also needs to address the full-back areas and ideally have another option up front.
For now Moyes must continue with the same side which ended last season.
A winning start to the new campaign against Newcastle and some much-needed transfer activity would go a long way to settling the club down.
