An insider claims David Moyes has initiated a January transfer for a player labelled the worst in the league by his own fans.
West Ham’s defending has been ropey during a week to forget.
The Hammers suffered a third home defeat in six days with the 2-0 loss to Leicester on Saturday.
After the game Moyes blamed West Ham’s finishing and defending, saying his players needed to seriously improve both if they are to turn things around after the World Cup break.
Just five days after that break ends, Moyes will be able to take matters into his owns hands to try and sort those problems out in the January transfer window.
But West Ham fans might not like the Scot’s solution.

Insider claims David Moyes has initiated January transfer for player labelled the worst in the league by his own fans
West Ham were linked with several centre-backs right up to transfer deadline day in the summer with Craig Dawson pining for a move away for personal reasons.
That situation will raise its head again in January and will need to be sorted.
Now an insider claims Moyes has initiated a January transfer move for a player labelled the worst in the league by his own fans.
Football Insider is reporting that sources have told them Moyes has officially made an approach for Everton outcast Michael Keane.
The Daily Star ran an exclusive in the summer claiming the West Ham boss was a big admirer of the 29-year-old Toffees centre-back.
Everton paid Burnley £30m for Keane back in 2017 (BBC Sport). But they would be lucky to get a tenth of that now so far has Keane’s star fallen. Although Football Insider claim Everton want nearer £10m.
The defender has played just 22 minutes in the Premier League this season, in a game against Brentford on 27 August.
Keane did play 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup last Tuesday night and the Toffees were battered 4-1 by Bournemouth.
Over the previous two Premier League campaigns, Keane only missed nine Premier League games as Everton struggled to stay in the division.
The Man United academy graduate and former Burnley star has become a major scapegoat at Everton. The Goodison Park faithful have dubbed Keane one of the worst players in the league
He has been ridiculously error prone for Everton over the last couple of seasons.

That was evident against the Hammers in a defeat at the London Stadium towards the end of last season where he was sent off for two silly bookings, leaving his team in the lurch.
Moyes has proved – with Dawson no less – that he can get the best out of underdogs.
After all West Ham fans were hugely underwhelmed when the Scot picked Dawson up from Watford back in 2020 only for him to go on to become one of the best value for money signings in the club’s modern history.
It was a similar story for Dawson as it is with Keane as Watford fans labelled him one of the worst defenders in the country.
If Moyes does take what would be a huge gamble in signing Keane – especially given the pressure on West Ham this season – then we can only hope for a similar outcome to the Dawson fairytale.
