West Ham United are frantically trying to shift some of the deadwood that’s clogging up the wage-bill at the London Stadium.
The 2024/25 season has been an incredibly challenging one for West Ham, and big change is needed at the London Stadium.
Graham Potter will be under no illusions regarding the size of the task that awaits him this summer.
He needs to bring in at least six new players in the summer transfer window, but funds are said to be tight at West Ham.

So Potter will have to be very clever with his summer recruitment.

And the key to a successful summer for the Hammers head coach will be to raise some cash by selling as many of the underperforming players as he can.
Meeting scheduled as West Ham try to offload Guido Rodriguez
The Hammers signed Guido Rodriguez on a free transfer from Real Betis in the summer.
However, the 30-year-old has proven to be woefully ill-equipped to handle the speed and physicality of Premier League football.
It has been claimed that West Ham will demand £12 million for Guido Rodriguez, despite his struggles this season.
Getting that kind of money for the South American would be an unbelievable result for the Hammers.
And now, River Noticias claim that a meeting between River Plate and West Ham could take place as early as next week to discuss the potential summer transfer of Rodriguez.

If a deal can be struck to send the former Real Betis man back to his home country, it will be great news for the Hammers, and indeed, Potter.
Huge Guido Rodriguez profit incoming for West Ham
Rodriguez, who earns £75k-a-week at West Ham (Spotrac), has proven to be a terrible signing for the Hammers.
However, the owners should be able to make a decent profit on the Argentinian midfielder.
Even if West Ham manage to pick up £5 million or so for Guido Rodriguez, it would be a huge result for us.
Despite the fact that Guido has been awful for the Hammers, making a tidy little profit on him in the summer would certainly make up for that.
Let’s just hope that River Plate push hard to sign him, and maybe a few other clubs will come in for him as well and create a bidding war.
