Hans Vanaken has admitted that talks with West Ham will continue and he suggested that he wants to move to the London Stadium this summer.
Hammers boss David Moyes is keen to bring the 29-year-old attacking midfielder to the London Stadium according to the likes of HBVL.

The Scot is clearly desperate to add an attacking midfielder to his ranks before the transfer window slams shut.

Vanaken is someone who is proven in the Belgian league but the step up to the Premier League may well prove to be a huge jump up in quality for him.
It seems as though the Hammers could be on the cusp of signing the 29-year-old though…
Hans Vanaken wants West Ham move
The Belgium international was speaking to reporters after Club Brugge played this afternoon and admitted that this may be the last chance he has to move to the Premier League, as quoted by RTBF:
“This may be my last chance to play abroad one day, and I want to take it. A lot has already been written about it. It’s no longer a surprise. I’ve thought about it. The club in question, West Ham, is interested, and so am I. Discussions with Club Brugge will begin on Monday. We’ll see where that takes us!”
It seems like this is one that everyone wants to get done.
We think he’d be a decent addition for the Hammers but would he take us to another level? That is debatable.
The Belgian bagged 16 goals and seven assists in 45 games in the 2020/21 season and racked up 15 goals and 12 assists in 50 outings last term (Transfermarkt).
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, Vanaken is a real unit and has the kind of physicality needed to succeed in the Premier League.

There is one problem as far as we’re concerned though. The Club Brugge midfielder will be 30 later this month. That obviously doesn’t correlate with the Red Bull Model that David Moyes supposedly wants to implement at the London Stadium.
Moving to the Premier League from the Belgian league and succeeding is a tough ask for anybody. Let alone someone who is touching 30.
We think that there are better options out there for Moyes to explore this summer.
It seems like Moyes is ready to put his neck on the line and bring Vanaken to West Ham though. And it remains to be seen whether that ends up being a smart move or not.
