The Daily Mail reckon that the Hammers might not be able to sign the 28-year-old permanently from Manchester United this summer due to a lack of finances.
Lingard has been exceptional for West Ham since moving to the London Stadium on loan in January.
The 26-capped England international has nine goals and three assists to his name in just 13 games for the Hammers so far.
