West Ham United head coach Graham Potter is ready to move on a player David Moyes signed 18 months ago.

Graham Potter will be hoping to bring some top-class players to West Ham before the January transfer window slams shut on Monday.

However, the 49-year-old Hammers head coach will be keen to move on some of the deadwood at the London Stadium as well.

West Ham are believed to be closing in on our first signing of the January window, just four days before deadline day, with Evan Ferguson being tipped to join us.

However, the Hammers need to raise some funds as well by all accounts.

There are far too many players at the club right now who aren’t offering anywhere near enough.

And one of them is apparently set for an exit from West Ham.

Graham Potter wants to sell West Ham man before deadline day

There will undoubtedly be a big turnover of players under Potter.

And one man in particular seems to be set for the chop within the next four days.

Moyes brought Andy Irving to the London Stadium from from SK Austria Klagenfurt on transfer deadline day in the summer of 2023, and then immediately loaned him back to the Austrian club.

However, Claret and Hugh claim that the 24-year-old is no longer wanted at West Ham, and he will be sold if a decent offer comes in for him.

In fact, the Hammers have allegedly already received numerous offers for Irving.

He has already been heavily linked with the exit door this winter.

It will be no surprise at all if he leaves the London Stadium this month.

The 24-year-old has barely featured for the Hammers this season – just 96 minutes in all competitions in fact (Transfermarkt).

Andy Irving isn’t good enough to be playing Premier League football, so selling him this month will be the right call.

Whether or not West Ham will be able to move him on for a decent fee before the January transfer window closes on deadline day remains to be seen though.
