It looks increasingly likely that the battle to sign Declan Rice from West Ham will be between Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

But a German journalist claimed Bayern are willing to blow Arsenal out of the water by meeting West Ham’s demands for the England midfielder after Thomas Tuchel made him his number one target.
It was then reported that Tuchel and Rice have “spoken on the phone” and Rice is “open” to joining Bayern.
Turmoil at Bayern since looked like it would seriously play into Arsenal’s hands.
It was claimed the issues behind the scenes at Bayern were putting Rice off and that he now preferred a switch to Arsenal.

Rice ‘turned on’ by Tuchel and can imagine moving to Bayern, claim Germans
According to Sky Sport Germany, Hammers talisman Rice is ‘turned on’ by the prospect of working with Tuchel at Bayern.
Sky Sport Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg also claims a meeting was held between Bayern and Rice in London yesterday.
And in what looks to be bad news for the Gunners, he says the talks went well. So much so the West Ham captain has given the feeling he ‘can well imagine a move to Bayern’.
“Declan Rice is ‘turned on’ by the idea of playing under Tuchel at Bayern,” Sky Sport Germany reported overnight.
“News on Rice: The meeting with him in London was positive!” Plettenberg said.
“Rice has given the feeling that he can well imagine a move to Bayern!
“Bosses have discussed him in the last days again. Bayern want to prepare an official offer as their next step.
“Tuchel the main driver.”
