Fulham have allegedly submitted a €17.5 million (£14.8 million) bid for West Ham United centre-back Issa Diop.
That’s according to a report from French publication Foot Mercato who claim that the Hammers are holding out for €21 million (£17.8 million) for the 25-year-old defender.

David Moyes was happy to let the centre-back leave, at least he was until Aguerd suffered a serious ankle injury during our pre-season clash with Rangers at Ibrox last week.

And as a result, it was claimed that Moyes changed his mind on selling Diop. It appears as though he will be moved on, however, if his £17.8 million valuation is met…
Fulham make bid for Issa Diop
According to Foot Mercato, the Cottagers have lodged an official bid for the Hammers defender – thought to be around £14.8 million.
That’s allegedly £3 million short of what West Ham are demanding for Diop though.
We believe that the Hammers should just move him on. We’re not going to get that kind of money for the 25-year-old next year and we have more than enough cover in the centre-back department, in spite of Aguerd’s injury.
Moyes still has Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna and Craig Dawson to call upon. Aaron Cresswell and Ben Johnson can play at centre-back as well if need be.
After arriving at the London Stadium in the summer of 2018 for around £25 million (The Express), Diop was one of the very best central defenders in the Premier League during his debut season.

The 25-year-old, who earns around £63k-a-week according to Football League FC, experienced a poor 2020/21 campaign though and was nowhere near his best last season either.
The 6ft 4in defender really hasn’t been great for West Ham at all over the past two years in all fairness.
Diop has played just 50 Premier League games under David Moyes in two-and-a-half years (Transfermarkt).
So keeping him around at the London Stadium would be a really strange move from the Scot this summer.
If Fulham increase their bid for Issa Diop by a few million though, he may well be on his way out of West Ham before the start of the new season.
