West Ham United have been dealt a blow with the news that Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race to sign Jonathan Tah this summer.

According to a report from Bild, Tottenham want to bring West Ham target Jonathan Tah to North London.

The East London outfit have a ‘concrete’ interest in signing the 27-year-old centre-back this summer.

However, it now appears as though Hammers boss David Moyes will face real competition if he is to bring Tah to the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.

The 16-capped Germany international is an elite defender, and seems to be tailor made for the Premier League. Which part of London will he end up in though?

Bild reckon that there could be a big reshuffle at Spurs this summer, and the Bayer Leverkusen ace is one player who is a target for the Lilywhites.

If we miss out on Tah to Tottenham, it would be a really big blow. He would be the prefect summer signing for the Hammers.

In 33 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen this season, Tah has averaged 1.2 interceptions and 3.5 clearances per game. He has also won an average of 1.7 aerial duels per match (Who Scored).

The German is a superb passer of the football and is very comfortable in possession. This season, he has made 49.4 passes per game on average in the Bundesliga and has recorded a hugely impressive completion rate of 89.1% (Who Scored).

Total Football Analysis describe the German as a ‘superb’ player.

Jonathan Tah is ready made to come into the Premier League and make a big difference for whichever team he signs for.

All we can do is hope that West Ham manage to beat Tottenham to the 27-year-old’s signature.
