It has been a quiet deadline day for the Hammers so far.
The West Ham fans have been crying out for a striker to be signed since Sebastien Haller was sold to Ajax at the start of the month.
Failing to sign a centre-forward seems like a kamikaze move from the Hammers.
West Ham may not be done on deadline day, however.

It appears as though David Moyes may be set to strengthen his ranks at the London Stadium but not in the centre-forward department.

The 31-year-old left Everton to join the Ligue 1 giants in 2019.
He has struggled for game-time at the Parc des Princes, however, making just 55 appearances for PSG.
The 68-capped Senegal international is a tough tackling, ball-winning midfielder. It could be argued that Gueye is exactly the kind of player West Ham need.
We are so weak in the middle of the park as far as strength in depth is concerned.
West Ham are an injury to Tomas Soucek or Declan Rice away from really struggling.
Signing Idrissa Gueye would solve that particular problem.
The annoying thing is that if Moyes is going to sign anyone tonight, it really should be a striker.
Beggars can’t be choosers, however. The addition of someone like the Senegalese ace would be a really smart move.
If we’re being honest though, it just reeks off yet another ‘we tried’ moment from the owners.
