Hammers fans are desperate for David Moyes to bring an established hitman to the London Stadium before the transfer window slams shut.
We are not expecting much activity today, however.
West Ham have made a fine start to their Premier League campaign. We risk throwing it all away, however, by heading into the second half of the season with Michail Antonio and Mipo Odubeko as our only centre-forward options.
One name who has been persistently linked with a move to the London Stadium this summer is Edin Dzeko (La Repubblica).

The Roma striker has reached the twilight years of his career. He would surely still be a decent option for us with time running out, however.
His experience and quality could be invaluable to the Hammers.
West Ham the only viable option for Edin Dzeko on deadline day
According to AS Roma Live, the Hammers are the only club realistically in the race to sign the 112-capped Bosnia international on deadline day.
The experienced Roma ace would be a useful short-term addition for David Moyes.

Dzeko has scored 346 goals in 731 career games for club and country. He’s scored eight goals in 20 games for Roma this season (Transfermarkt).
The 34-year-old also has 50 Premier League goals to his name from his time spent with Manchester City.
Whether we could pick Dzeko up on a short-term loan deal or even a cheap permanent fee, remains to be seen.
West Ham signing the Roma ace would certainly be better than nothing though, that’s for certain.
