Hammers boss David Moyes was first linked with a 10 million DKK (£1.2 million) move to sign the 21-year-old in September (Danish website Bold).
Danish media outlet BT then claimed that West Ham were very close to bringing Alves to the London Stadium.

As yet, however, there has been no official announcement of the Hammers signing the young Dane.
Moyes will undoubtedly be looking at making a centre-back signing in January. Bringing Craig Dawson to east London on a season-long loan was obviously a short-term fix to a long-term problem.
So signing a young and talented centre-back will undoubtedly be featuring highly on Moyes’s wish-list.

Ekstra Bladet claims that Frederik Alves is expected to join West Ham in January.
And if it happens, he will be a very exciting addition for us.
The Dane is young and inexperienced, but he has great potential. Standing at 6ft 3in tall, he is commanding in the air and is a great reader of the game.
£1.2 million for Alves would be an absolute snip and the Silkeborg ace is exactly the kind of signing West Ham should be making.
