Fabrizio Romano has made an exciting claim about alleged West Ham target Yunus Musah four years after his Arsenal exit.
West Ham are already said to be lining up potential replacements for Declan Rice in the summer.
The beloved West Ham captain is being hotly tipped for a big money move to Arsenal. Latest reports claim Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is planning Rice talks imminently (The Mirror).
Now one player who shone at the World Cup could be an ideal Rice replacement for West Ham and – most importantly – available in the shape of Yunus Musah.
The US international currently plays for Valencia who, like West Ham, find themselves in the thick of a relegation battle.
Valencia’s plight is actually a lot more precarious than West Ham’s right now. Los Che ae just one point and one place above the La Liga bottom three.
Hammers boss David Moyes was on duty at the World Cup in an observational role.

Hammers thinking about Rice replacements as Arsenal talk intensifies
And talk over the winter was that Moyes and his scouts were keeping a very close eye on Musah’s performances at the Qatar World Cup.
They would not have been disappointed as Musah, who is just 20 years old, shone bright for the US.
He was impressive for the United States when he came up against Rice, the man he could replace in the West Ham midfield if the Hammers play their cards right.
Because Fabrizio Romano has made an exciting claim about alleged Moyes target Musah and West Ham should be all over it regardless.
The transfer reporter did not name the clubs involved but has confirmed there is serious Premier League interest in Musah.
And he says there is a chance of a summer exit for the ex Arsenal academy star too.

Fabrizio Romano makes exciting claim about alleged West Ham target Yunus Musah four years after Arsenal exit
In his Daily Briefing with Caught Offside, Romano said: “At the moment it’s just scouting and not advanced yet, but Musah has a good chance to move this summer, with interest from the Premier League.”
The powerful, pacy and technically excellent Musah really is just what West Ham need in the middle of the park. Especially with Rice on his way out this summer.
Despite his tender years, Musah has already played over 100 games for Valencia and 25 for his country.
There is increasing talk of Arsenal being one of the frontrunners to sign Rice.
Somehow the Gunners let the outrageous central midfield monster talent that Musah is leave the club as a 16-year-old.

Ideal, available and West Ham will have the money to make it happen
So it would be some business from the Hammers to sell Rice to Arsenal for a huge fee and replace him with one of their former academy stars for a lot less.
Musah is the perfect modern central midfield player.
He is so quick, so powerful and so good on the ball. It is actually shocking to think Arsenal – who now have the youngest team in the top flight – let him leave.
But that was a decision taken by the player as he sought first team football at the earliest possible opportunity. And, it should be noted, before Arteta was appointed manager.
Ironically it was ex West Ham academy coach Trevor Bumstead, now of Arsenal, who admits deep regret at seeing Musah leave the Gunners for Valencia (The Athletic).
With Romano claiming Musah is likely to be available this summer and West Ham being in the market for a new central midfielder, it would be criminal for the Hammers not to offer him a return to London.
And we know West Ham will have the money to make it happen.
